Winner Livestock Auction Company will host a rollover calf sale fundraiser at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, in Winner, South Dakota, in between a hay sale which begins at noon and a special bred cow and heifer sale that starts following the R-CALF USA fundraiser. R-CALF USA members Lonnie and Pam Dreyer, from Winner, South Dakota, have donated a steer calf for the event, and R-CALF USA President Brett Kenzy, from Gregory, South Dakota, will be on hand to assist with the event and answer any questions.

Rollover auctions are fundraising events put on by R-CALF USA volunteers to raise money for the organization. Those who wish to support the efforts of R-CALF USA can bid on the animal, then donate it back so it can be auctioned off again and again, until bidding ceases. After the last rollover bid, the animal will be sold to the highest bidder with proceeds going to R-CALF USA.

R-CALF USA is set apart from all other national cattle associations because it relies 100% on membership dues and donations to carry out its mission to ensure the continued profitability and independence of United States cattle and sheep producers. It exists only because of support from its members.

R-CALF USA works on various issues such as mandatory country of origin labeling (MCOOL), beef checkoff reform, animal identification, sheep tariffs, animal health concerns, captive supplies, and packer ownership of livestock, as well as various trade agreements.

R-CALF USA encourages producers to get involved and make their collective voice heard. Individuals and businesses supported by the U.S. cattle industry can contact R-CALF USA at (406) 252-2516 or r-calfusa@r-calfusa.com to contribute to the rollover auction.
