Description: R-CALF USA will host a livestock producer meeting Friday, Sept. 18, at Nevada Livestock Marketing in Fallon, Nevada, bringing together cattle and sheep producers from across Nevada, California, Oregon and the surrounding region. The meeting will begin at approximately 2 p.m., following the feeder sale earlier that day. A meal and drinks will be provided.
Rancher and attorney Hayden Ballard will join R-CALF USA CEO Bill Bullard, President Dave Hyde, Region XI Director Brent Espil and other R-CALF USA leaders and representatives from across the country for the meeting.
Ballard will provide an update on federal grazing issues, while R-CALF USA leaders will discuss the latest developments affecting independent livestock producers, including mandatory country-of-origin labeling (MCOOL), cattle and beef trade, sheep industry issues, checkoff reform, mandatory electronic identification eartags and other policy and market issues.
R-CALF USA Communications Director Jaiden Moreland will be available throughout the event to visit with producers and assist with new and renewing memberships.
The meeting is free and open to the public. All cattle and sheep producers are encouraged to attend and join the discussion.
