Description: The Colorado Independent CattleGrowers Association (CICA), an R-CALF USA affiliate, will hold its annual convention on Saturday, July 20. Saturday’s activities will take place at Otero College in the Student Center Rizzuto Banquet Room located at 2001 San Juan Ave. in La Junta, Colorado.
Registration will open at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The morning session will feature committee meetings, resolution discussions and Colorado state Representative Ken DeGraaf’s presentation “Climate Con.” American Stewards of Liberty Executive Director Margaret Byfield will present “Assault on Our Land & Liberty” at 1 p.m., and a business meeting and social hour will follow. A beef brisket dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and R-CALF USA CEO Bill Bullard will give the keynote address, “America’s Unprecedented Cattle Crisis Persists,” at 7 p.m.
On Friday, July 19, CICA has arranged tours of the Innovative Water Technologies facility located at 29625 Industrial Park Road in Rocky Ford, Colorado, at 1 p.m. and the Colorado State University Arkansas Valley Research Center located at 27901 Road 21 in Rocky Ford, at 3 p.m. Following the tours, a ribeye steak dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. Multimin USA Technical Sales Representative Dave Link will give a presentation at 6:15 p.m., and the Ben Kittleson family will give a personal account on wolf depredation at 7 p.m.
