Description: R-CALF USA CEO Bill Bullard will speak twice in Rapid City, South Dakota, Oct. 7 and 8. Both events will be at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel at 2111 N. Lacrosse St.

On Monday, Oct. 7, R-CALF USA and several organizations nationwide will host the Livestock Producers Freedom Rally in the Rushmore room. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and will discuss the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s electronic identification (EID) eartag mandate.

Speakers will include U.S. Rep. Harriet Hageman of Wyoming, South Dakota state Rep. Marty Overweg, Wyoming state Rep. Chip Neiman, R-CALF USA CEO Bill Bullard, “Feeder Flash” cattle market analyst Corbitt Wall, and United States Cattlemen’s Association President Justin Tupper.

Following the rally, the South Dakota Stockgrowers Association (SDSGA), an R-CALF USA affiliate organization, will host its annual convention in the Convention Center II room. Registration will open at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7. Monday afternoon will include a variety of presentations with US/Mexico border rancher Erica Valdez headlining the event that evening followed by music by Cold Water Canyon.

Tuesday’s events will begin at 8 a.m. with a prayer breakfast followed by presentations throughout the day and conclude with a dinner, awards banquet, and live auction. Bullard will speak at 9:45 a.m.

The event will end on Wednesday following the annual membership meeting at 9 a.m.

Preregistration for the convention is required. Full event tickets are available for $190, or $225 after Sept. 25. Single-day registrations are available, and all meals are included in the registration price. View the event program here or visit www.southdakotastockgrowers.org to register.
