Brett Kenzy

Brett Kenzy operates Kenzy Backgrounding with his brother George, their mother Millie, and their families, in south central South Dakota. The brothers are the fourth generation to ranch on the family homestead where they feed cattle, maintain a commercial cow herd, and farm for feed. Brett and his wife Jessy have seven children. He served in the Army for three years before attending SDSU, graduating with a degree in Animal Science.

Brett is a former president of the R-CALF USA Board of Directors and currently serves as checkoff chair. He is a fierce advocate in the fight for freedom and independence. He believes ranchers and the communities they support are best served and motivated by the entrepreneurial spirit of independent small businesses.
