Coffee and cookies provided by Bishop Beef will be served. \nLater at 5 p.m.\, another meeting will be held at the Buffalo Gap Community Center\, located at 209 Main St. in Buffalo Gap\, South Dakota. A light supper will be served\, sponsored by White Ranch\, M&M Cattle Services\, Boehringer Ingelheim/John Rehmeier\, Custer County Farm Bureau\, and Fall River County Farm Bureau. A fundraiser with proceeds benefiting R-CALF USA will be hosted at the meeting. \nAt both events\, R-CALF USA President Brett Kenzy and Animal Identification Chair Kenny Fox will provide updates\, particularly information on R-CALF USA’s lawsuit and actions to block the electronic eartag mandate. South Dakota Stockgrowers Association Executive Director Doris Lauing and representatives will give an organizational update. R-CALF USA member Wayne Savig of Fosston\, Minnesota\, will donate an open black heifer calf that will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to R-CALF USA. Hot Barn Report host Monte James will broadcast live from Tri-County Stockyards during the event. \nR-CALF USA Vice President and Region VII Director Eric Nelson\, of Moville\, Iowa\, will be present to give a brief update and speak with producers. Region VII is comprised of Minnesota\, Iowa and Wisconsin. \nRollover auctions are fundraising events put on by R-CALF USA volunteers to raise money for the organization. Those who wish to support the efforts of R-CALF USA can bid on the animal and then donate it back so it can be auctioned off again and again until bidding ceases. After the last rollover bid\, the animal will be sold to the highest bidder. \nR-CALF USA is set apart from all other national cattle associations because it relies solely on membership dues and donations to carry out its mission to ensure the continued profitability and independence of United States cattle and sheep producers.
