The fundraiser will be at approximately 1 p.m. on Tuesday\, Feb. 4\, in Huron\, South Dakota. R-CALF USA Region III Director Ron Volk\, who also serves on the I-BAND board of directors\, will donate a black heifer calf for auction. The proceeds raised will be split 50/50 between R-CALF USA and I-BAND. \nVolk will provide a brief update on the organizations’ work on various issues that affect independent U.S. cattle and sheep producers\, such as mandatory country of origin labeling (MCOOL)\, checkoff reform\, animal identification\, tariffs\, animal health concerns\, captive supplies\, and trade. \nRollover auctions are fundraising events put on by R-CALF USA volunteers to raise money for the organization. Those who wish to support the efforts of R-CALF USA can bid on the calf and then donate it back so it can be auctioned off again and again until bidding ceases.
