Harry Thompson\, of Snyder\, Colorado\, will donate a calf to be auctioned off with all proceeds going to R-CALF USA. \nFormer R-CALF USA President Gerald Schreiber will give a brief update on the organization’s work to ensure the continued profitability and independence of U.S. cattle and sheep producers. \nRollover auctions are fundraising events put on by R-CALF USA volunteers to raise money for the organization. Those who wish to support the efforts of R-CALF USA can bid on the calf and then donate it back so it can be auctioned off again and again until bidding stops. The calf is then auctioned and sold to the top bidder. \nR-CALF USA works on various issues such as mandatory country of origin labeling (MCOOL)\, beef checkoff reform\, electronic identification (EID)\, captive supplies and packer ownership of livestock\, tariffs\, and fair trade.
