Freddie Keaton has been married for 23 years to his wife, Renee, and they have two children, Kaleb, (2002-2022), and Kinley, 16. Together they own and operate a cow/calf operation in Salem, Missouri, which consists of 500 cows and 300-400 stocker cattle a year.
Freddie views himself as a first-generation rancher. His parents had a very small operation of 30 cows which is where it all started and where his passion began. Freddie was raised in a family that had cattle which allowed him to grow up around them.
He started his own operation in 1997 when he graduated high school. In the beginning, Freddie worked jobs away from the farm until 2012 when he started ranching full-time.
Freddie’s wife and kids all help on the farm when possible, and in 2020, he hired a full-time farm employee. Freddie loves raising cattle and feels very blessed to be able to do it all the time.
