Maxine Korman,
Region I Director
Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington

I'm Maxine Korman and my husband Ron and
I own a family run cow/calf ranch east of Malta, Mont. We have two sons and a
daughter. I serve on R-CALF's private property rights committee and also on the
animal identification subcommittee. It is so encouraging to work with people who
believe the Constitution should be adhered to and are putting in tremendous
effort to stop the National Animal Identification System (NAIS).
My husband and I were so fortunate to
have been educated by Wayne Hage and Helen Chenoweth-Hage about property, and
that in order to truly have liberty you must own the right to own property. I
feel that I have a duty to pass on what they so generously shared with me and I
appreciate the opportunities that R-CALF has given me to do that.
I hope grassroots cattle producers appreciate that R-CALF has never compromised
its position by becoming beholden to other interests or by taking funding such
as grants from neither government nor non-governmental organizations whose
interests conflict with those of independent U.S. cattle producers.
R-CALF depends on members and others who
truly support us in our efforts to remain independent and financially viable,
just as we depend on R-CALF to represent our interests in Washington, D.C. and
other forums.
Together we should be fighting to keep
this nation strong, independent and financially viable. I believe I can help
R-CALF, members in Region I, as well as members across the nation as Region I
Director.
